Communication & Meeting Tips
Honesty
Being honest should be a no brainer but people lie! You will never succeed in the long run by telling lies along the way. Don’t lie about your height, age, weight, hair, or anything else! They are going to find out the truth eventually…and the lie will ruin what you have been working on. Be honest so they can get to know who you really are. You can’t trick someone into liking you. Relationships based on lies fail.
Common Sense
You are on a dating site to meet someone. You are not on a dating site to be someone’s sugar daddy or mamma. There are other sites for that… good luck there. Keep money out of dating! Avoid the gold diggers and control freaks by going Dutch (Split your date costs 50/50). That is an easy way to quickly weed out the bad apples. After you get to know someone’s character you can revert to whatever financial dating role you are most comfortable with.
Safety
WillWeWork.com only stores your zip-code, email address, and date of birth. Since we don’t have or store your address hackers can’t use your phone and GPS coordinates to figure out exactly where you live! Other sites cannot make that claim. Don’t share your personal information with someone you meet until you feel secure with that person. If you aren’t 100% sure, WAIT. That is one great benefit of using our site…we can help you facilitate communication safely and securely.
Don’t use your full name as a username, include it in your profile, or give it to someone you just started to email. That is a security risk that doesn’t help you avoid crazy stalkers!
Create a new and separate email and use it for your online dating communication.
Talk on the phone with someone that you are interested in before you meet and after you feel comfortable with the email communication you have with them through our system.
After you are comfortable with your email and phone conversations make a date!
- Meet in a public place for safety (not at your house or theirs)
- Notify your family and friends you are meeting a new person and tell them where you are going
- Drive yourself to the date!
- Don’t excessively drink alcohol (in fact, it would be smart to not have any)
- Don’t leave your valuables with this new person
- Make sure you check in with your family and friends when you get to the date and leave
Reporting / Blocking
WillWeWork.com has a built in reporting feature. We highly encourage members to report profiles that violate our policies. If you are going to block someone (you can never undo a block) make sure you report that profile first. This helps keep us informed that we may have a bad apple in our member cart. It keeps the community safe and it will help us weed out the weirdo’s. Member profiles that have reporting violations get warnings directly from WillWeWork.com that do not indicate who reported them. If a member profile gets multiple reporting violations they could lose membership access. Serious violations can be reported to legal authorities.
Caution Signs
Be cautious of members that are inappropriate in email or over the phone, act weird on the phone or in person, are overly eager, say “I LOVE YOU” when you have barely met (that is a red flag – they don’t know you yet), are vague about themselves when you are trying to get to know them, if they are asking you for money for any reason, ask to pick you up or meet at your home, and anything else out of the normal.
Good Signs
If you don’t experience any of the negative signs listed above then move forward but be cautious.
